Have Fun Storming the Castle

Brother and sister Hansel and Gretel found themselves in quite the conundrum in the Grimm Brothers’ nineteenth-century adventure. Lost in the forest with crumb-eating birds pecking away their only chance of finding their way back, they had no other choice but to knock on an unknown door. After which they said, "Oops." They didn’t have the slightest idea that behind that wooden door was truly the scariest scenario of them all: a hungry witch waiting for a scrumptious couple of kids to snatch and, well, you remember the rest. They found their way out of the evil captor’s maze, eventually. Would you, or would you find yourself in hot water?

Crafting games run the gammut of skill and survival. While they can be teeth-grindingly treacherous, they can also be a way to sharpen the reasoning process. Start by gathering iron and forging protection in the medieval Blacksmith Lab…a virtual task of clinking your way to safety as the best of knights. Choose the amount of the precious metal you need and pound it into something vital for your survival. Defense is an option in survival crafting games, like in Terraria Online. As they say, sometimes defense is the best offense. Now if you find yourself thrown into the bowels of a wicked lord’s castle, as in Arcaz II: the Dungeon, you will need a completely alternative set of skills and strategies. Same goes for crafting games like Minecraft.
